Denise Snoad, Actress – Cockney Accent

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah recently, as she was the vocal coach on the NZ series of ‘Underbelly – land of the long green cloud’.

Sarah helped me create a London accent for my character, and she was fantastic!

She paid great attention to detail and she was tireless in ensuring not only that I was speaking the accent correctly, but also that I feel comfortable and confident in the speaking of it.

Sarah provided me with various resources to continue my listening to and practise of the accent once our sessions were over. She also made herself available if I had any further questions or concerns.

And Sarah managed to make the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. There was certainly a lot of laughter!!

As an Actress herself, she had a clear idea of the sense and meaning of the script, so it didn’t just become about saying words a different way.

Sarah’s knowledge and expertise in recreating different accents was very impressive, and I would happily recommend her as a vocal coach to anyone who needs one.
